The majority do, and are bilingual within a few years. What makes a difference this time is unlike the Poles, Irish, and British who didn't have the ability to go home over the weekend hispanics do. It was total immersion. Today Hispanics especially the young choose to hold onto BOTH languages. Their choice, their right.
