If it's a life then it is no different than the government telling you you can't kill your 5 year old. The burden of proof should be on the one who wants to abort the child, that it is not a life and not worthy of protection under our laws.
The way things stand now, the government isn't telling anyone to either kill or not kill their unborn child. If you guys have your way, the government would be half way to completely changing that.
I m sorry, but I find it awefull silly that a person gets to kill a human being because they might be inconvenienced by that humans birth.
Now as Ive said before, if a pregnancy is going to cause serious physical health issues for the mother, then you have a reason to consider abortion.
but "I didnt use a condom" isnt a valid reason to kill someone.
You don’t get it. If we say that abortion is something that should be regulated by the Government….then it is the Government’s prerogative as to when and if a health issue is serious enough to warrant abortion. It’s your wife on the table….who’s more qualified to choose in a situation where her health or life may be at stake….you and her…. or the Government?

Ok??? They tell you NOT to kill your 5 year old. They should also tell you NOT to kill your child in the womb.

But for the record…if I did change my vote…I’d vote Libertarian. Republicans are still fascists.

My whole point is about accountability and how a democracy cannot work without it. If we provide politicians a talking point to hide behind (especially one that requires no specified action), they will jump at the opportunity.
i can agree with that. in practice, I find it very hard to vote for the guy I know will do what I detest.... but clearly republicans are taking it on the chin in this cycle exactly because of what you say.
Rs will lose many seats in the house and the Ds may have 60 seats in the senate and thus be filibuster proof. Barak Obama is still the odds on favorite to win the whitehouse.
all of that stems from Rs not acting like Rs. like you say, lip service has failed.

They don't tell you not to kill your 5 year old child. They do, however, tell you that if you kill your 5 year child you will be prosecuted.
As it should be!
