Things pass bro...times change. It was very respectful, in fact, all of the music groups involved took great care in choosing songs to NOT offend. There are plenty of conferences around where "Fly the flag" and " I shall Not Be Moved" are still sung, enjoy those by all means. God's anointing was on everyone and the worship by most was tremendous.

Do you remember when your group started singing "The Blood Will Never Lose It's Power" well that author once was criticized for being contemporary...nuff said. I'm done with this issue, out of respect to some elders, have at it.

I was there on Nova Scotia night, and was impressed with the talent and enthusiasm of the singers. Jesus and I like country, but, in my opinion, those who can't sing country should go ahead and make their joyful noise anyway.

I have a suggestion for the powers that be at CCC. Sell the pews and buy some air conditioning. The pews don't get much use, and it sure was hot.

The only complaint I have about Canada Conference is that the people were so friendly that it took a long time to get from the service to the feed trough.

nuff said. I'm done with this issue, out of respect to some elders, have at it.
I remember when we started singing it in the UP church where I grew up...Andrae' is Black and COGIC...folks were not impressed by it all in the late 60s.

But now, 40 odd years later, and you'd think The Blood was a hymn of the Church.

Times and seasons change and being adaptable to the flow is not always a bad thing...JMHO!!:sshhh

I mean no disrespect to you whatsoever Felicity so please know this is really written in curiosity.

Why would you even care what the UPC did? Didnt you leave the organazation after being overseas missionaries?
