I really have no desire to argue with you over this, but I cannot understand how a grown man is incapable of admitting that perhaps he might be overstating his case.

I have just as many facts to throw out as to my heritage and experience in the UPC, for personal reasons I choose not to do that.

My experience is that your statistics are incorrect. I am not saying that it doesn't happen, and that it doesn't happen in a lot of places, but I am saying is that your figures are bad.

And frankly, the reasoning that you have used to come to them are insulting, to me and to many other women who have no control over the length of our hair.

You made the statement how many churches have you been in...

I am sorry that I have been to many.

I do not excuse not deny my experiences.

All I know the weights that so many folks carry that have nothing to do with a relationship or a deeper relationship with God.

We have moved away from many of those weights.

At no time has my marriage nor my walk with God suffered.

Nor has my doctrinal positions.

I am tired of being challenged about what I know of the UPCI.

Then spelling it out and being ripped for answering a question.

What does it matter in any sense where I have been or who I know.

The bottom line is these standards are weights and if you choose to carry them you will carry them.

But the folks that I have known over the years have given private thoughts that are not in line with their sermons...

Stop stating that I am throwing around who I know etc...

I have moved into a new circle of churches and friends...

Also, about the "holiness test" I found it humorous that there was no mention of the woman being shamefaced, or meek and quiet or inwardly modest. I know of women who always wear their hair up, they wear long skirts and long sleeves and they out-talk their husbands, and rule the roost! I have known teenage Pentecostal girls to not trim their hair or do any of those other "unholy" things, but they'll talk to a boy and look straight into his eyes and be flirtatious and forward. It's sad how rampant this is in Pentecost.

Alex, of course we don't see eye to eye but we do have somethings in common...hopefully we will meet on a trip to Beantown...but, bro, let me try to help you. I don't knock young people, I have a soft spot in my heart for them and I trust them to do great things. When you make comments on a forum that "I believe this certain thing and when I am a pastor someday I will do THIS!!!!!!!!" here is how it plays out to everyone else...."When I grow up I wanna be a fireman" do you get this? I am not trying to be mean or funny, just a tip, go, get your credibility, and then come back and say, this is what I am doing, here is why I am doing it, and here is why you should do the same...that will bring change. Praying for you, you have a lot to learn, you probably are a lot smarter than a lot of us, and may your future/present be BLESSED!!!! Like nike says...JUST DO IT!!!!!
