I have no ill feelings of any man.

Can't it just be that the experiences one has with a person is different than what others have experienced?

Great post!

This happened to me. I was a witness to a tense situation involving a gun, and my memory of the event was skewed somewhat over the years. I kept my views to myself until one day I opened up and talked with my father about that eventful day when our family was held up against a wall staring down the barrel of a gun.

It turned out that my memories were indeed skewed, and things that I thought were said were said much differently. I had held this against my father for years, then suddenly his version made perfect sense. When I told him what I thought I heard, he laughed! He then immediately apologized for not talking about this with me years ago!

My dad called TL Craft from his hospital room during the last 2 weeks of his life.

He asked Bro Craft to forgive him for his attitude towards the situations in Jackson.

He told Bro Craft that no matter the depth of the offense.

His salvation was more important.

I sat in the room that day as my dad was connected to a large Dialysis maching having his blood pass from his body through this machine.

My dad cried his heart out to Bro Craft.

I was 13 years old and cried as I saw my dad seek the mercy of God.

My dads salvation meant more to him than the offense of anyman.

My mom is 75 years old and she still has a clear recollection.

The recollections are not those of a kid.

You will not find anyone anywhere in my family as having mentioned the circumstances involving TLC and my dad.

You all out offended me with calling my recollections those of a kids perspective.

I have not been offended in years over anything.

This time I am very hurt..............

All I know is.... I sat as a 13 year old young man, not at the end of a little league bench as my dad sat in the bleachers watching me hit a pigskin ball.

I sat and watched a 43 year old man in his human frailty seek the mercy of God.

You tell me if that was a child sitting there!
Your post here and the offense you took with mine is exactly why I did not want to bring your father and his situation at JAX into this.

Coonskinner is correct that your memories of your dad and his wonderful spirit at the end of his life are a wonderful testimony and as it still affects you today and shows the worth of a godly father imparting to a son through example.

CS is also correct that all of that has nothing to do with the statements you made about TLC.

I lost my father at the age of 13 suddenly in an accident and in 48 hours my life was devastated and I was living 4,000 miles away from the home I grew up in. I know the love and emotion involved in losing a good and godly father. Don't try to twist my issues with your erroneous chracterization of TLC into some kind of criticism or disrespect to your dad or your loss. That is wrong and I hope upon reflection you realize that. You had zero reason to take any offense at my post. You apprently read things into it that were not there.

My only point was that while TLC has faults and has done things I don't agree with (and heaven knows we don't agree on much when it comes to church!)but his faults are not the ones you ascribed to him and I don't think his worst enemies would agree with you.

It was just strange reading a man I have been around quite a bit off and on over thirty years described as something he is not by someone who only was around him for a very short time before they were grown.

I was still offended an hurt.

I will forgive you of my thoughts on what you wrote.

Now let's move on.

I have known people in business in my adult life.

Where 2 or more people have vary large different views.

It comes down to each person's interactions.

I was not seeking agreement on my opinion.

Let's catch up with each other on another topic of which many things we agree.

Sincerely,

CC1 and I are at pretty much opposite ends of the spectrum doctrinally and ideologically, but we are in the same corner on this one.

Question for the sake of curiosity....yesterday, when this thread was new, you could go to their website and these 49 elders were listed under the executive committee...last night, after this thread was posted, those 49 "General Committee Members" are no longer where they were on the website....WHY?

I have not been able to find them again....can you?

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

I found it interesting that out of the 49 elders I believe only six or seven are from Lousiana. If you look at the demographics of Oneness Pentecost, particularly the UPC, Louisiana and Texas are the two strongholds.

To see only about 15% of the elders from La. was intersting to me.
