Lloyd Squires will be elected Sunday School Director? Our Bible schools will merge to form an Apostolic liberal arts college and Bible School? Someone will buy me a lifetime membership at the most prestigeous Duck Hunting Club in Stuttgart, AR? I will go home and shoot a round of 65 at Quail Ridge Golf Course? My wife will never, ever get a headache ever again? Someone is going to walk up to me at GC and hand me a check paying off our church debt?!?!? September cannot get here fast enough!

Funny, I've lost members because I was "too Pentecostal" (actual quote) and have NEVER lost any because I was too charismatic.

But there still might be one or two who'd rather bear the yokes
I've never heard of serving Jesus as "bearing yokes". I know He said "take my yoke upon you...for my yoke is easy..." But I don't think you are talking about an "easy yoke". It sounds more to me like of the unnecessary yokes that Acts 15 addresses.

That's quite an admission, CS. You're in danger of losing a lot of friends. If you need a new one, call me.

I am a native Oregonian, born and raised in Klamath Falls. Only came to the big city of Portland when my husband (city boy) stole me out of the high desert and brought me to the valley.

1985? Oh, yes, I do remember!!!! We were still in our old building, on North 9th street (in downtown, and yes, it is very old). I also recall that I was a young teenager (13 years old) who, after a visit from some folks from a Bible college, clearly heard the voice of God speaking to my heart, telling me that it was His will that I go to Bible college and study music. I struggled in my young heart with that for a little while, because I had already made plans to go to school to become a veterinarian, as I have always loved caring for sick critters. You just never know, while you are out ministering in different places, how God is speaking to hearts and lives.

Why is it that almost EVERY thread turns into a standards discussion when the original topic has NOTHING to do with standards?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
