Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I f I had members of my family that verbally abused me, why would I want to be around them? Yes, that would be sad for any org to teach.

For sole purpose of conversion? No. If it comes up or God opens a door, sure.

Well, maybe you're more mellow than the doctrine I was taught. That would be nice. But in the back of my mind I have to wonder if that "let each work out his own salvation" means that you can have patience with people but ultimately they need to agree with you in the end or they are lost. I simply say that because that is the double speak I am familiar with. I hope you are not saying that.

I don't care who they agree with. God convicts everyone with His Spirit. Most rebel, we have to, it's in our nature. But even common sense agrees with scripture.

That depends on the doctrine. Surely not everyone is saved.
