No, the scenario is not perfect and may never happen. But, the point is that the world does, in fact, recognize the difference between godly and not godly. They might use terms like "prudish" or "old fashioned" or "holier-than-thou", but they do recognize a difference.

I'll give you 100 people and put Beth Moore next to Sis. Nona Freeman and we'll see how many choose Sis. Freeman as they one they'd want to pray for them. What do you think the odds are that Ms. Moore would get more than a few who'd pick her?

See, there's the problem......YOU'LL GIVE.....you are speaking in your world terms. Your 100 people would pick Sis. Freeman because that's what they are comfortable with.

A random 100 people the choice could be 50/50.

You are the one arguing with yourself.

I think it's funny too that you go the the farthest extreme left you can to pick Tammy Faye - - laughable.

I know its been stated already, but just wanted to say again. If You ever see me in need of serious prayer, just know that I could care less what you look like or dress like........LET'S PRAY!

Man, what a twist you put on that one!!

Come on, Renda!! I don't even KNOW 100 people!!

How about this? I'll let YOU pick 100 people. Of course, I'd expect them to be as random as the ones I would have picked.

As is a favorite saying around these parts: Good grief!

Yeah, that's a bit extreme, but so is your response above.

Elder, I could answer you a lot quicker if you asked what's "right" with her.

I know.

Poor Tammy Faye is just a wonderful little abused lady (stretchhhhhhh) that was abused by her awful (correct) husband.

The scenario is about who would be chosen first in a situation where someone needs prayer and the person choosing had the option between someone who resembled Sis. Nona Freeman or someone who resembled.......oh, take your pick.......Tammy Faye Baker or Beth Moore or Stormy O'Martian or.......well, you get the picture.

Of course, the typical liberal spin has turned it into something different as seen by posts successive to yours.
If you're trying to put Beth Moore in the same category as Tammy Faye, that shows how insulated you are in your Pentecostal world. There is no comparison between the two. I would love to have Beth Moore pray for me; she is not worldly in the least. She is an anointed teacher of the word who is reaching thousands of non-spirit filled people and stretching them to move into new places with God. She is reaching so many Baptists with the power of God that I would never criticize her. Does she understand everything? Of course not! But she is definitely being used by God.
