I am surprised that there doesn't seem to be an concerted effort to stop this false doctrine within the UPC ranks.
Here's the original thread regarding it.

Here's the actual link.

And the original caption.

This picture was taken at the Alabamas Ladies retreat. Sis Patty Twyman took down her hair to summon the power of the angels over the prayer requests. Many prayers were answered.

Yikes!!! This is just downright scary. I just have to wonder why Elders don't step forward and stamp this nonsense out as quickly as they did the divine flesh issue.

The obvious answer would be that the organization, or at the least the Alabama district, endorses this doctrine.

This is shocking.. I dont remember the previous thread but I am sure I had seen it at the time unless it was one of my hiatus times... I am very curious about this tho and why they do continue to endorse this!

If you read the original thread on this subject matter you will find it's much more wide spread than just Alabama district.

Re: UPC pastor's wife refuses to wear hair up anym
I am new and Ihope I m doing this right.I have been reading for awhile but didnt know if I should say anything cuz I just started going to a pentecostal church where the ladies look like those mormons. But I thought the church was nice. But I read where they take their hair down like in that picture to pray. I think that is very strange and it makes me not want to go there any longer.
I found this site to help me understand things better, but after reading some of what I read here I think I will fit in better at the baptist church.

If this is a sincere post, I would strongly suggest that you find somewhere better than an Internet forum to gather information to make major life decisions.
Do the ladies at the church you go to really look like those mormons? A Cadillac and a horse drawn buggy both have four wheels and a bench seat, but they don't really look alike unless you've got an agenda.
Do the ladies at the church you attend take down their hair to pray? "Pentecostal" describes a very broad range of beliefs; you should evaluate your church on its own basis, not on the basis of Internet information.
