Not in the states that I have voted in.
You select the delegates who are listed under the candidate.
I know different states have different forms of primaries, however this is how it has been for the 5 states I have lived in

Re: Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delega
Looks like delegates are not quite unbound by the judges ruling.

Legally speaking, the judge’s ruling only affects Virginia delegates. It also doesn’t change RNC rules – rules that Correll agreed to abide when he accepted the appointment as delegate. And one rule? Party delegates have to vote for the candidate who wins the primary, something the Trump campaign said the judge actually reinforced in his ruling.

HUGE. State laws claiming to bind delegates unconstitutional. Convention delegates are free to govern themselves.

Are you blind or is it that you can't see well?
It sets a precedent for the remaining states.

And, BTW, if the delegates, in all states, were already bound, why did Gerald Ford have to change the ruling to bind them?

Re: Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delega
po - legally the state laws binding delegates have been known to be wrong for years.
But, the RNC rules are still in full force.
I also love how you #NeverTrump'ers are so kind and gracious to your fellow Christians/Apostolics.
Then play the holier than thou card about Trump being a bully and not kind or gracious.
I try to have a civil discussion with you, but it is very difficult when you throw insults back at me.

Re: Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delega
I don't understand how free speech has anything to do with binding a delegate to vote a certain way. Anyone want to explain?

Re: Unbound: The Conscience of a Republican Delega
RNC Platform Committee has just adjourned. The last discussion confirmed that the Minority Report will be brought up on Monday as to whether or not there are more than 28 members to pass. They cited the history of Ford and Reagan concerning the binding of delegates.
