I like Tiger Woods! I think it is admirable that he has repented and now is going to just work on restoring his marriage and keeping his family together. I hope he does salvage it.
As for him giving up golf for a while... I tried it but it was too boring for me. Lord help!!! Walking around all day in the heat and hitting a little ball a few feet into a hole in the ground???? No way Jose! I have to have a little adventure in my life! Well, come to think of if it..... maybe that is why he NEEDED a little adventure in his life! LOL

I disagree (shocker, huh?)Posting pictures of him beat up with his wife holding a golf club and saying it's their Christmas card is trashing him. Posting numerous jokes about his sin is trashing him.

I pray that he not only restores his marriage but that he can become an example of what can happen when one determines to make things right. He has the ability.....if he trusts in the One who gave him his talent. Let's see what an "athlete" he can be in that area. I pray that he gets the "trophy."

Now we can hold hands and sing "Kum ba yah" on that statement!!!

Today our pastor (me) was speaking about the church being a place of safety. He (me) said, "For those of you who may have laughed at jokes or told jokes about Tiger Woods this week.....If we want those outside the faith to really believe that we a safe place where grace is given, how could they ever be sure if they see us laughing at and joking about celebrities, actors, athletes, and TV preachers who have fallen into immorality. Think about that before you pass on your funny emails."

Today our pastor (me) was speaking about Mary's example of worshipping (her song in Luke) in the midst of the unexpected "blessing" of being pregnant. He (me) said that people were talking about her and the "sin" she must have committed just as much as people were talking about Tiger Woods and making jokes about his lack of integrity.
