"Pro-Choice" means, I think my wife and I would rather have the power to choose if advised by doctors as to her life and health. It's not up to the Government to seize a pregnant woman and force her to give birth. It's not up to Washington to make those decisions. Those are life and death decisions made by individuals. I pray women choose life unless the situation is most dire. And I stand by my conviction....the Government is incapable to adequately dealing with the abortion issue.
Why is the government used in other life and death situations?

Ferd, but this is a relatively new phenomenon that is growing exponentially by the year. We have not even begun to see where this trend is headed as companies watch their competition head overseas and increase their profit margin and decrease their regulation, insurance, workers comp, etc... Why should anybody stay here and stay loyal to stimulating the US economy when it puts them at a significant disadvantage.
Just a decade ago, it was primarily clothing and other goods that companies were farming out. Now it is increasingly tech, communication jobs and things of that ilk. We have not begun to reap what could be the outcome of all this.
I think that says more about our governments punishing businesses than anything else.
I am very concerned when middle eastern oil billionairs buy large parts of the American economy. I am even concerned about Inbed buying budwiser.
I am baffeled when I hear (for the last 20 years) that we are shipping jobs over seas, but we continue to have very low unemployment and at the same time, see the average income rise, standard of living rise, purchasing power for all economic groups rise....

I don't believe abortion is right accept in rare occasions to preserve the life and health of the mother. However, I also don't believe the Government is capable of adequately addressing the issue. My wife and I (your wife and you) are far more qualified to choose if an abortion is actually necessary than Washington.
