Not comparing me - it just came across to me that he was insinuating that AFF "was like a certain organization..." (the Klan).

Jon's filled in the blanks for me, I hope he wasn't getting testy because I had some blanks after what he said. Folks don't typically use the Klan to make favorable comparisons. It's sort of like "complimenting" a coworker who straightened out a troublesome scheduling issue by saying, "You did that just like Hitler fixed the German railroads! Congratulations!"

Well, I think it was the best of examples. Covering your face is a pretty good example, IMO. I can't, off the top of my head, think of any other example that could give us a visual like that one.

What would you suggest as a better visual?

LOL at the last part and no I wasn't getting testy and was aware of the potential misconception of my initial example. I should've been clearer.

I tried and in parallel to the issue of anonymity there wasn't one I could think of off the top of my head.

Also, it doesn't help that I have strong interest in topics such as the civil rights movement and various topics along those lines.

it has been but unfortunately the originator of the thread has been pretty unwilling to answer honest questions.

With that it might be safe to say that AMF isn't as mean spirited as was told by the author of this thread.

Its the most self moderated balanced forum I have been apart of.
