I am sorry some cannot discuss without being offensive. Our stand can be right but our spirit wrong.
Our days of the week come from pagan world thought...as do many things that are a part of life.
We must be kind and love even though we may have many different opinions.

I have no idea when Jesus was born so how can I celebrate His birthday. Did the Apostles or early church celebrate His birthday? Tell me when it was that is a good start?

Did not those called "Wise Men" show up to celebrate at the very hour Jesus was born.

There is more to the story in calling them "Wise Men" Then just showing the class of man that showed up.

It states Jesus was born in a barn. We do not know which barn. But we believe he was born.

We do not know where the wedding was located but we believe the water was turned into wine.

The concept is we believe he was born.

If anything we should celebrate his birth each and everyday.

See without a birth there was no cross, without a cross there would be no remission of sin...

The "Wise Men" celebrated the hour of his birth.

Communion celebrates his life. Jesue said, take eat this is my body, drink this is my blood. Does not the bible state, the Life is the blood.

Then there was the day of the Cross.

Then the Day of Pentecost.

We should celebrate, His birthday, Him life in Communion, His death on the cross and his returning as the holy spirit.

For in this is the fullness of God.

If "Wise Men" can celebrate Jesus our Saviour and the hour of his birth then we should remember it as well.

It might be good to start at the first chapter of the NT.

See? The bolded part is a classic example of the ignorance (lack of knowledge) that is so pervasive among Christians. The wise men did not show up within the hour of Jesus being born. Jesus was around 2 years old when this happened, NOT the night He was born. This is why Herod ordered the death of every male child 2 years of age and younger. It wasn't at the inn, the barn, the manger, or anything of the sort. He was already back at home when this happened.

We have never celebrated christmas as the day of Jesus' birth- much to the chagrin of some ministers, I might add. It is solely a secular tradition for us- nothing spiritual about it...a time for eating and being together as a family, and giving gifts. Period.

Luk 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Luk 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

The heavenly host rejoiced at the birth of Christ, why shouldn't I? I do not celebrate his birthday, I celebrate his birth.

Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled"
Joyful, all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With the angelic host proclaim:
"Christ is born in Bethlehem"
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

Christ by highest heav'n adored
Christ the everlasting Lord!
Late in time behold Him come
Offspring of a Virgin's womb
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see
Hail the incarnate Deity
Pleased as man with man to dwell
Jesus, our Emmanuel
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

Hail the heav'n-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Son of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings
Ris'n with healing in His wings
Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

Amen....

Joy to the world...

Let heaven and nature sing....

I too celebrate his birth with love and joy in my heart. O what glory! O what peace sublime!

I have often wondered what the world would be like today had he not come. Yes, I have thought much about it. After much thought upon what the world would be like today had Jesus not come, I have come to the considered conclusion that the earth today would be as barren, lifeless and void as the moon is today.

We love Christmas! It's one of our most favorite times of the year! If nothing else, at least we can hear songs about Jesus while shopping at most stores!!
