Re: Changing Denominations

Sometimes it is easy to throw away what came to us free but after it is gone...we sure miss it...

Just remember that that's how that post read TO ME. I was just being honest.

That is 99% of the problem with this forum. People are reading into what others post rather than reading what they are actually saying. You have no idea what he just said.

Look--I don't find it tremendously wounding to be called names on the internet.

In fact, I really don't get too excited about it in person.

But we are a discussion forum here, and common courtesy ought to be upheld.

Is name calling acceptable, as long as it is an ex-Apostolic doing it?

I mean, just academically speaking.

Defend the rude behavior, Sis. I understand.

He is certainly free to clarify. Part of having good discussions is a give and take. Not a "I'll tell you how to be good and spiritual and you listen and do what I say".

Re: Changing Denominations

Amos,

To be fair the exact quote was:

"I really don't believe in the cultish practices of the religiosity that many Apostolic Churches profess/teach/and exploit."

It was not a blanket statement.

I believe that reactions were too swift and emotional on both sides and things were said that are regretted.

You probably missed the post where this is something that happened last week and is much closer to fresh wound than "bitterness"

I am one of the few I suppose with details about the exact event.

And yes as always there are two sides to every story.

Bottom line the sniping and over reactions on BOTH sides really needs to stop.

A fresh dose of I Corinth 13 is in order.

LOVE COVERS

Here is her OPINION that she wrote. She said I DON't BELIEVE...she did not denigrate your character (that I have seen) the way you have made her to feel like a lesser Christian and person than you because she apparently can't handle hurts like you supposedly can.

Brother,

I have much respect for you.

Perhaps the long history and the serial meltdowns/attacks that fill that history contributed context to this little drama.

In deference to your words, I will endeavor to fade away on this one.
