I agree. We should all be forthright and not deceitful.
But the problem is, the damage has already been done. And he's not even TRYING to clear anything up.
His reputation is shot. He has no credibility. Nobody will believe him.
He can't leave and come back as someone else because his posting style will be found out. Then he'll have to come up with more stories to cover his identity.
His only real alternatives are to either repent and apologize to the forum. Get it over with, and go on with his posting. Or clear up the misconceptions publically.
Hiding behind all this PM and 'privileged information' is ridiculous. He made the claims publically, he should clear them up publically.
