Lot's I could say here, but will not.

Re: Pastor Jerry Cox makes the news
I will say one thing for pastor Cox, he is a very young looking 72 in the pictures I saw from his court appearance. I would have thought he was in his early 50's.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Hopefully I have prayed for anyone's wayward child and never rejoiced in their straying. When Jakes' son was arrested there was NO rejoicing from me. Samuel's children did evil in the sight of The Lord it did not diminish him but no doubt burdened him.

Re: Pastor Jerry Cox makes the news
PK's often have more issues than others, imo.
I believe the devil goes after them more.
Just my opinion.

He attacks our children to cripple us and make us hesitant in preaching what is needed. To distract us. Also most live in a fish bowl which is difficult.

Re: Pastor Jerry Cox makes the news
Elder Epley, that is so true. Looking at the church people through children's eyes is quite different than seeing them through the parents eyes....
