Yes, I believe it was. I would have gone over to her, but I was standing on the opposite side of the church and it would have made a scene. I did talk to her about it after church.

Settling on "modesty" is so much easier, because really, that would discount the wearing of a lot of pants on women.

But, the point is - Deut 22:5 is not speaking of pants, so get to the issue - modesty.
So you're saying that it pays to dig into the original text to find out what the bible is REALLY saying, then? ... and it's not always going to be exactly what the KJV says it is?

I've been saying that for some time now... I'm glad I'm not alone.

I believe that a lot of changes have taken place through the years and men and woman are trying so hard to make some sense and balance out of it.

I can see how the older generation is seeing us wearing less and more revealing, but using a scripture that is defined incorrectly is not the solution.

I can find peace and direction in modesty. The other just brings confusion and questioning that never gets settled.

Yes, Ron, it certainly pays. When truth meets human spirit there is a peace that passes all understanding. It's just the way it works and when it doesn't - it feels like a red-headed stepchild.

By the way, I encourage you to do more of that, P.O.

I can help you refine your skills if you're interested.

Doing well, except that I'm not feeling well this week. Just a summer cold, which is very annoying. It makes me feel very tired. I have laundry to do and I just walk in there and look at it and then go lay on the couch, get up and check the Forum, clean a little and then lay down again.
