Philippine Trip Cancelled!! - Page 2

Sherri,

A wise person once told me that sometimes we want to do something for God but God doesn't want us to do that something. Maybe He has someone else picked out for that particular thing. Maybe the whole situation will be handled differently than what WE had planned. But as long as it is GOD's plan and GOD's will - what better could we ask!!

I know that you have a heart to serve Him. I think that's wonderful. But I'm also glad that you have a heart that is willing to listen for what GOD wants.

Besides, some of us (me) are just getting to feel like we know you a little bit. And we (I) like what we're seeing. So it'll be nice to keep you among the living if we can.

God bless you for your willingness to be used tho.

I didn't feel real excited about it for them either since she had posted something a while back that sounded as though the area was not safe as usual.

This is the second trip to the Philippines that we have cancelled! The first time we were supposed to go (which Tamor referred to) was in 2001. It became very dangerous at that time, so we cancelled our flights. We were supposed to be flying on 9/11. We would have been in a mess if we had decided to take that trip!! God knows best.

Our poor head pastor over there is going to stop believing me when I say we are coming to see them!!

You know Sherri, I haven't had bad feelings about y'all being in the Phillipines - I have had bad feelings about the flight itself.

Hmmmmm......Eddie and I went to Savannah last week and wrote new wills, since ours was so outdated. This trip had really made me stop and think about a lot of things, but none of them were good.

That's not a good thing. I know we need to reflect, but it sounds like this whole thing did not need to happen.

I agree. When Pastor Rebecco said that HE recommended that we not come, and he had already planned the entire conference, I knew it had to be bad over there.

I think we will probably never meet some of our L & T pastors until we get to Heaven. I found out that we now have 27 in Phillipines/Japan area!
