He's the uncle you don't want at your family reunions. Oh, maybe you do. My bad.
Trump is a sinner, like all of us. He lacks decorum, fur sure, but what's the difference between him and say Romney? Romney believes in holy underwear and Joe Smith and another Jesus. Obama lied throughout his presidency, called evil good and good evil, and endorsed gay marriage and LGBT rights. Clinton---well that would take all day. Bush I lied w read my lips. Reagan alienated his children and his wife sought direction through astrology. Carter gave an interview to Playboy.

Presidents and politicians are sinners. Shouldn't surprise us they've acted like such.

But yes my joy is the defeat of Hillary and by extension a repudiation of the Obama presidency. I would much rather be celebrating President Cruz or Carson.

Re: Aquila? JD? Light? Why So Quiet?

It is impossible for me to not take what is happening personally.

To think that this is only a taste of the mental battle my Dad and COUNTLESS others from his generation and before had to deal with, while trying to foster an optimism and a love for our country.

Re: Aquila? JD? Light? Why So Quiet?

Racist White American Christians would have just had to kill me back in those days.

President-elect dumpster-fire will only go but so far before he turns minority/majority relations in this country into something that mirrors Israeli/Palestinian relations.

Then what will you do?

All he has to do is try to be the racist donkey he truly might be, like his cursed father, and I will personally seek the overthrow of his good-for-nothing-piece-of-trash administration through every legal means available to me!

Still, I'm not the one he will have to worry about!

There are others who see our present reality for what it is and they have nothing left to lose.

For every person looking for a cause to get behind, a rallying cry for inspiration, President-elect dumpster fire will more than likely provide the fuel.

Then what will you do?

I wouldn't have wanted Carson. He makes the excuse he has to change his pants (too hilarious for words) during a primary, his campaign already shutting down (he later admits), boot licking Donald Trump and doubling down on his lie.

Anyway, I just want to point out that as you accuse us, or more so David, you were acting the same way toward me when I told you that Romney wouldn't win. Nasty, nasty DB. Yep, you were really nasty the last campaign.

Now, I think you are embarrassed by that loss (2012) and are coming out with guns blazing to make up for it. Just my opinion, of course.

I notice you never criticized the racist we had in the White House for the past 8 years.

Can't speak for the Hillary supporters, but I wouldn't have been celebrating either way. Both candidates were abysmal.

Honestly, it makes me so angry and so sad that the country that I love, defended, put my very life on the line for, could betray me and so many other Americans by selecting the worst possible Republican candidate for President.

Steve Bannon does not believe, "This land was made for you and me" but President-elect dumpster fire has given that fatherless child a place of honor and influence.

(Insert whatever you like) __________ President-elect dumpster fire.
JD, as the father of a service man I respect your service to our country and appreciate your sacrifices.

However, I can't understand your embrace of our president even though his pastor declared publicly "GD America" and only disavowed him once it became a political liability not to do so. He had Van Jones in his administration who is a blatant racist. You voted for Hillary whose campaign behind the scenes sent overtly racist emails to each other. As far as Bannon is concerned, I don't know enough to draw conclusions. I have heard some small blurbs about him but I don't believe everything I hear without digging deeper.

The #NeverTrump crowd, for the most part, only wanted to retain the House and take control of the Senate. Goes a long way for whoever was going to be elected.

And for me, I didn't mind Donald Trump being a wrecking ball. I just didn't want him to represent our country.

People talk about his children being so grand. Did anyone pay attention to Donald, Jr. say that David Duke needed a bullet. He was desperately trying to distance Duke from his father by supporting his 2nd Amendment rights to own and use a gun while denying Duke his 1st Amendment right of Free Speech. See how that works with Trump, et al...?

Nasty? You all are waaaayyy to thin skinned! You can't take someone disagreeing with you, or not fawning over your squeaky clean, Pollyana politics. I've said it before---if you can't deal with a real honest debate that includes passionate disagreement---go post over on the recipe section of AFF.

I was upset Obama won. Both times. I was upset that people who didn't support Obama wouldn't support his opponents because they didn't get a perfect 100 from the Conservative Union. I was upset that BO would be our president the first time, knowing what direction he'd take the country. Even more upset he was reelected. Look at the consequences.

Think about it. If evangelicals would've supported Romney like they did Trump, there would be no President Trump. Trump is the consequence of conservatives like you all not supporting your party in 2008 or 2012.

But nasty? Please. That's a bit melodramatic.
