And I understand that nothing Trump does or says will be questioned or criticized by his supporters.
Trump was right on one thing, he could stand in times square and shoot people and not lose any supporters. It's likely his supporters would defend and applaud.

That's not how the NYTimes got his tax info.

Yes, you are correct. However, they were obtained and the Times is still operating under a double standard.
And Trump "took advantage of tax laws". So? Did he break the law?

No, he didn't break the law. But neither do the low/middle class which many conservatives like to complain about not paying taxes.
Of course, he now wants to fix the loopholes which helped him avoid paying taxes.

Is that deflection? Isn't that a double standard!

I meant to say that the Times obtained them illegally. In my haste I skipped the word. But the fact remains, the Times has a double standard. And the only taxes conservatives complain about not being paid are those that are actually owed. Trump owes no taxes.
In spite of financial loss, he rebounded time and again to amass a fortune and create allot of jobs in the process. Don't act as if this is all news to you. Trump was very open about his losses in his book. This is not even news.

Tired of all this deflection whenever something negative about Trump comes out. "But Hillary...." If your standard is Hillary, there's a problem.
