He also said he would produce evidence to support his story of stabbing someone. That has yet to happen. I didn't doubt him until he said he would produce the evidence. Now I am wondering what is going on with this guy.

I think Carson's a likeable guy and I believe he's honest and principled.

I'd want him as my doctor for an important surgery, but why he's even running for president or polling so well at this point is beyond me.

BUT I will say this (may sound a little JDish). I DO think the liberal media is racist against any black man that counts himself a conservative. Of course they are against any conservative on the basis of ideology alone. But if there were ever a black man in the White House who governed well as a Republican, the stereotype would fall, and they would lose their base, and by extension, their power and influence.

So as we saw 4 years ago, no one really cared too much for Herman Cain, until he sky rocketed up the Polls and looked legit. Then out of no where all the stories came and that was it for him. Now Carson begins to do well and starts to gain momentum, and all of a sudden people are taking his campaign down over something he allegedly did at age 14?

Again, I'm no Carson supporter, and I've long said I don't see Trump or Carson as legit candidates. But this seems like an attack to keep the black man, who is a Republican, out of the spotlight and especially out of the White House.

Dude, Palin torpedoed McCain's chances of winning.

Countless times she appeared clueless.

Countless times she was given opportunities to redeem herself during that fateful election cycle.

She rebuffed McCain's staff that tried to groom her and she decided to go "rogue" and show the country just how insane she was.

Of course there were some GOP'ers who praised her decision to go rogue, but she was the doom of his campaign.

I don't have the desire to go back and dig up every idiotic thing she said and did.

McCain wouldn't have beat obama, even without Palin looking dumb. Old, mean, white dude against a younger, hope and change message, black man.

Wasn't going to happen. The fix was in to get the first black man as President. And by fix, I mean the media was all in for him to make sure voters did their part.

JD - I agree that Palin was a terrible choice for McCain. I never understood it, myself. I believe the choice was just McCain being McCain and doing things his own way. But, I do not agree that she is stupid.
The stupid mantel was placed about her by SNL and Tina Fey.
Using words that she never said.
The press choses who to call stupid and it is almost always conservatives.
Now if Palin had said things like the below, I would agree that she might be "stupid":

"R-S-P-E-C-T" forgot how to spell respect while paying tribute to Aretha Franklin
"do a Jedi mind-meld" mixed up Star Wars and Star Trek
Referred to Hawaii as being in Asia
Pronounced Corpsman as Corpse-man
Referred to the "Austrian" language (no such thing, it's German)
Referred to "my Muslim faith"
"Hello, Sunshine" - when in Sunrise, FL
Called a female reporter "Sweetie"
"Ten Thousand people died - an entire town was destroyed" - while referring to a Kansas tornado that killed 12.
And
"I've now been in 57 states, I think one left to go"

Yep, she's "stupid"...

Well, Palin did say you could see Russia from Alaska, so while SNL paraphrased what she said, she did answer a question about insight gained from living next to Russia, "They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."



I agree with you about dumb things obama's said and no one makes a big deal about it...he certainly hasn't received the same kind of ridicule Palin has. But he's a black Democrat and the media won't touch him, because, as you know, anyone who dares is labeled a racist.
