Re: Exercise Equipment

I love Mike Adams' newsletter.

Something one can do to combat hunger after exercise, is to drink a protein drink. Protein helps to recover muscle exhaustion and it lasts longer than a high carb food.

I've been using Jacob Rubin's, Garden of Life, Perfect Meal. It does contain soy lecithin. What is your opinion on that?

My daughter has a fibroid tumor, which caused her to deliver our grandson earlier and now it has grown to the size of a baseball. They are saying she will have to have a full Hysterectomy - meaning, no more children.

Her mid-wife has helped some patients reduce the size of the tumor to pea size and has her on some natural things to help that. One thing is - NO SOY.

After three months she will have an ultrasound to see if anything has changed. I'm anxious to see how that works out for her. I believe in using the natural method before conventional.

Re: Exercise Equipment

Generally, I've stayed away from soy if at all possible simply because I've heard from people who like to live more organic and natural that soy is not good for the human (female) body. Here's a good article about soy.http://www.veganhealth.org/articles/soy_wth

However...
I've been hearing very good news about curcumin (turmeric). It has been found to have anti-tumor properties. If you buy any turmeric, make sure it is non irradiated. Most spices on the store shelf is irradiated and it's healing properties are destroyed through that process.

You can buy organic and non irradiated curcumin through a variety of places. Robert Redfern is a wealth of information on the healing values of spices.

(one can also buy curcumin at his website)

Re: Exercise Equipment

By the way, I'm sorry that your daughter has fibroids.

But I am happy that she is using a midwife and natural healing methods.

Doctors are great when absolutely needed, but they love to cut, slash and burn as a remedy for things like fibroids. It's all they are taught in medical school, sadly.

I've heard it said that out of four years of medical school, nutrition only gets a few hours time out of their studies.

Re: Exercise Equipment

Good quality walking shoes, an exercise mat for stretching, a medicine ball and some small hand weights. Some of the best things older people can do is walk and lift weights. Yoga-style stretches are also great for your back and strengthening your core, and if you object to yoga then find an easy Pilates style video to follow.

You must do what you like to do or you will not stick with it no matter what equipment you get. Since you have someone to do it with, you might could walk around the neighborhood. Anything is better than nothing. Go to you tube and look for videos that you can try.

A simple test which indicates your health condition......

No doubt, an exercise program would greatly improve the results of such a test.

Yeah, not too big on the soy and I didn't notice it as the last ingredient. I'm emailed them, but haven't heard back. I'm going to finish the container, because I don't think that little bit will hurt me.

I bought some fish oil capsules at Whole Foods and found they had soy. ARgh! So, I ditched them and bought another brand without.

These are some of the things she is taking:

Anamu
Vitamin D
L-Arginine
Vit C
Vit E

Don't recall what else she is taking right now.

Thanks, some said that many were delivering a month early and it's no big deal, but I felt something didn't seem right and now I know what that was.

I'll let you know what the results show and if there was an improvement.
