The Antichrist (if there really is an individual antichrist) has been identified over the years as:

Nero
FDR
Hitler
Prince Charles
Henry Kissinger
Barack Obama
and many others.

A common teaching is that the pope and the papacy is the antichrist because of the Latin title of the Pope, Vicarius Filii Dei, Vicar of the Son of God. If this is written out using the Latin form and assigning the Latin value to the numbers which have a Latin value we have:

C = 100
A = no value

I = 1

A more recent person has been identified as the Antichrist. He is known as Cute Purple Dinosaur. If we follow the same logic and use the Latin numbers and their values we get:

I was skeptical of the "baraq" until I got out my Strong's and of course, that word is a Hebrew word.

Interesting indeed, although how much "water it holds" remains to be seen, and only God knows, despite our best attempts to figure it out.

I believe history, and prophecies repeat themselves. Hitler was no doubt an antichrist, as was Mussolini, and of course, we believe Obama is an antichrist in our day... although there are many others... for an antichrist is one who does not believe that Christ is the son of God, according to this scripture...

I John 4:3 "And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God, and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come, and even now already is in the world."
