Re: Adults Only Church

I do believe it would take a bold apostolic church to start this sort of specialized ministry. Far too many OP's believe in the concept of instant deliverance where all it takes is a good emotional "prayin' through!' at the pentecostal alter. "Brother so and so prayed at the alter and threw those cigarettes across the room and never smoked again!" is the story we hear over and over again. So how much more of a leap is it to say "Brother so and so prayed at the alter and God instantly healed him of his desire for small boys! Now GO church and let your kids TAKE those sweet treats that he keeps offering them, for he has been delivered!"

I agree with you 110%. I just wish there was a way to address the issue without the ex offender living in the shadow of his or her sins.

Re: Adults Only Church

Are they going to have their own little corner in heaven to? I want to know where that is so I don't wander over there.
How stupid. How are the legal rules doing at keeping them out of the malls, the stores, gas station, convent stores, city parks, zoos, theaters, plays, swimming pools, and the list goes on.

Now how about the murders, thieves, rapists, whore mongers, and the rest of those things which are in the church now who are changed by the power of God and made into a new creature with a new nature.

Church and people today, What a joke!

So you would allow a convicted sex offender (and not one who is labeled an offender because he had sex with a 16 year old girl friend when he was 17, but one who actually molested multiple little boys) teach, or be alone in any way, with your own kids simply because he "prayed through!" at a pentecostal alter?

I would actually be FAR more comfortable letting someone who committed murder, fraud, or theft teach my son then the one who caught molesting/raping young kids.

Re: Adults Only Church

I have often considered this question, and this seems to be the best solution (for the moment anyway). The problem would be attempting to get other members of the congregation to attend this particular service. This would be especially true if you have members who have or were molested as children. God never gave us an easy task when attempting to build a church.

Where in my post did I say I would let my children be alone with them?

Where did I say in my post that I would let them teach my children?

Why are you trying to put words in my mouth that I didn't say.

From reading some of your posts and the verbiage you have used over the past year I would also be concerned about them being around someone like you as well.

I have taught my children the truth about life and how people are, even the ones in the church that haven't been caught yet, the ones most of you leave your children around now.

I watch and know where my children are and who they are around. When they are not in the church and they are in the world, or at school,
you think there isn't a child molester in the school system? You better think again.

They go to the store, You think the child molester isn't at the store?

People need to wake up and do the right thing instead of acting like they know everything and have an answer for it.

Re: Adults Only Church

Face it folks....Crazy things are happening in church.
Some churches have no problem letting a guy preach who murdered somebody but will not let a guy preach who is divorced.

About sex offenders....if they are born again they are "suppose" to be new creatures......

Satan has a front seat in some churches!

And if they truly repented and received His spirit, I believe whole heartily that they are. But it would still be a foolish parent or guardian that allowed their children to be left unattended around them.

I agree. They could backslide and get back in to sexual abuse.
My grand children are to precious to be exposed to this kind of thing.
