"Grants to Planned Parenthood

Several Susan G. Komen Affliliates give grants to Planned Parenthood and other similar clinics. This thought has garnered criticism from some pro-life advocates because of Planned Parenthood's role as an abortion provider.[21] However, Komen Affiliates do provide funds to pay for screening, education and treatment programs in dozens of communities in which Planned Parenthood is the only place that poor, uninsured or under-insured women can receive these services."

Having a Komen foundation affiliate give a grant to a PP clinic to conduct breast cancer screenings in a community where there is no other option for such a free screening is a far cry from saying DAII raises "money for a foundation that sponsers Planned Parenthood."

Wasnt said,Who knows.Mark Morgan was the one doing the offering .He then asked that you donate an amount equal to the shoes youre wearing ,He said "Randy Keyes i know yours are at least a 1000".I had no idea you could pay that much for a pair of shoes ,they better be mighty comfortable.

Yes, I know some women that cannot afford mammograms. They can receive free screenings. I am sure we support other charities that funnel monies elsewhere.

I heard Cole's nephew, Jack Cunningham, put down several grand for Cole's shoes?
And Pugh's shoes garnered at least. 10k?

Can anyone confirm? Your thoughts?
I think that is cheesy and absurd. I suppose this is their way of making giving "fun"

hehe...when large offerings like that are given everyone thinks of how generous the pastor is....forget the little people that are constantly donating money to the church or working hard in their fund raisers

Thank you Pela for clearing that up for sweet Falla who in another thread said it was essentially going to abortions. Here is Komen's statement on the matter and their financials:

http://ww5.komen.org/Content.aspx?id=16162

If Falla insists I'm going to ask her how long she will continue to support the US war machine that's has killed tens of thousands of innocents with her taxes.

I would like to see such financial transparency from HMD so we know how much of what was raised really gets in the hands of the unchurched and the home missionary.

Very easy to spend other people's hard earned $$$
