You are one after my own heart. I am so excited about this. I want to really learn how the early church understood KINGDOM and applied it.

Peter learned more of Christ in about an hour after He got the Holy Ghost than all the years he spent with the Lord before. And when he saw how Christ is on the right hand, and that was the reason the Holy Ghost came forth, he was seeing people healed in his shadow and handkerchiefs taken from him to cast out devils!

Amen!!

I thought it was pretty ironic that I read your post while studying Hebrews. I ran across this verse which really hit home when Jesus said, "It is finished".

Hebrews 9:28 "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."

I read it, again, in the Amplified:

Hebrews 9:28 "Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and [a]once for all, will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him."

It really hit home at that point and brought to mind the words of Jesus when he said - "It is finished!" It truly was a finished work.

Then the scripture comes to mind in Hebrews 6:1 "Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection, not laying AGAIN the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God."

We have business to attend to! The scriptures you cited in Psalm 2 and Acts 4, shows that they understood that - power in His name and by His Spirit! He has given us the authority to be about the Father's business!
