Re: Maybe I Shouldn't Wait Any Longer...
I've fasted for a husband, but it didn't do anything but make me hungry! LOL
But really...
If we are fasting to seek God's will on a matter or to commit to Him, I believe He will honor it. If we are simply going on a hunger strike to try to get the answer we want, it probably won't work.

I hear ya!
Just remember, the signs of a possible wife doesn't require a jean skirt and poof. I KNOW God had a hand in meeting my wife and she is Assembly of God.

Thank God. I hate poofs. Glad to know I'm still in the running to be someone's wife someday!!!
Sorry, I'm beyond goofy tonight.

Maybe I shouldn't have broken up with that pretty lady in my picture. She is still available and still asks about me back "home" in W. VA.
I feel like I'm a weirdo sometimes when I'm at church. Maybe this is my own self-consciousness or low self esteem or something. I don't know exactly.
One thing for sure, currently there is not one eligible, Apostolic woman in my church that finds me attractive, where the feeling is mutual.
I didn't move back here to find a wife-- not my intention at all. I moved back here for spiritual stability and growth.
I'll continue to focus on these things as they are most important-- I realize this, I need this and I want this.
However, it sure would be nice to have some female companionship of the romantic type.
I feel like listening to some Al Green right about now....

(Relax, Jermyn, from what I can tell, I'm probably quite a bit older than you... besides, I don't have the qualifying poof! )

I don't think he requires a poof! And older women, well they are just better!

"They" always say that you will find when your not looking. I ALWAYS disputed that and thought I tried it for over a decade. The problem is I would be thinking "OK God, I am not looking.... I am not looking.... Where IS she?". Of course I WAS looking, that is until I drove a couple of states away on what turned into a very bad blind date. Not only did the date itself turn into a dud but I ran a read light and smacked into a car full of..... well, I won't say who but there were chicken feathers and tamales everywhere. I was so beat that I told the officer "ya, I ran a red light...." when he asked what happened. The firemen who arrived a few minutes later came up to me and shook my hand and said "You are the FIRST person to ever admit running a red light in this town!". Apparently they were so impressed that I didn't even receive a traffic ticket!
Early the next morning I took my rental car and drove home -one full day ahead of schedule.
THAT night I logged onto a dating site I tried out (a very bad site I might add) and saw someone responded to my ad. I was NOT looking at this point, which I can honestly say was the first I was NOT looking in my adult life, but responded back to the ad with a "Hi. Love to chat sometime." and left it at that. Normally I would have written a few paragraphs, but that was it. I simply didn't care.
She responded back in a few minutes -since she was logging on to delete her account because it was nothing but porno spam and fake accounts, and saw my response and emailed. (Had I responded even 15 minutes later, she would have logged on, deleted her account, and we would never have met.)
Five months later we got married in Vegas!
Today we live in Sunny Arizona!

There has only been one lady that I can think of from AFF that I thought could have been a prospect, but I don't see her any more.
Plus, I don't know if we had anything in common at all-- just liked her pic that's all.
FOR THE RECORD THAT IS NOT THE REASON I JOINED AFF NOR IS IT THE REASON I CONTINUE TO LOG ON TO AFF.
I'm not real keen on meeting chix online anyway.
