Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Cannot it be argued that this use of the word counsellor could be used also as an advocate?

I actually havent met a lawyer I dont like. My wife works for one...she has been very good to her. They take alot of abuse...some I guess is well deserved but most is not.

I tell you as far as our politcians go I think it should be a requirement for them.

If you love the USA, you should realize that our country has been shaped and led largely by lawyers.

We know that attorneys can be saved, kind of like the rich man, with God all things are possible, improbable but possible!

I understand the smilie. But it brings up an old question....can we say anything we want as long as put up a smilie?

Hurtful words often come in the form of seemingly good-natured teasing. Do you know how many girls have fallen into the clutches of eating disorders because they're teased about their "chubby cheeks" or whatever?

I'm not an attorney, but I very highly respect them. I get tired of all the lawyer jokes, ribbing, teasing, etc. After awhile, it just gets old. I know a couple of attorneys who, in social settings, won't tell people they're lawyers.

I've been involved in some matters where I would have lost my shirt if it had not been for the sharp eye of an attorney. So I just thought I'd try to be a voice that says, "I think lawyers are great" and I admire the profession.
