Death panels? Seriously? We debunked all of that goofiness last week in the posts. You do realize that the "death panel" amendment that you all got all worked up over was proposed by a Republican right? If you'd read the amendment, before it was yanked from the bill by the Republican, you'd have been able to comprehend that it dealt with living wills and what family member would be the proxy if a person was incapacitated. It also BLOCKED FUNDING for sessions if they included any talk of suicide or assisted suicide.

You do understand what BLOCKED FUNDING means right?
you debunked nothing and the death panel the dems talk about is not the death panel that exists in the house bill....

the fact is, the bill provides for a government appointed group to decide what health care options are availble. It is the RATIONING that will be done by this bill that matters and that IS the "death panel"

Fed-Ex and UPS sure do a good job competing with the Postal Service don't they? Private business is not only competing with a gov't run entity but beating them. The three of them competing in that environment makes it cheaper for you and I to ship things.
Mike, Mike, Mike. Look at what you just said. Your statement undermines the case for government healthcare. Fed Ex and UPS thrive not because they have the Postal Service to compete against, they thrive b/c private industry is much more effecient than government run anything.

These guys cant even get CASH for CLUNKERS right! Car dealerships are pulling out of the C4C program b/c they are tired of waiting for the money. The bureaucracy of C4C is taking so long these dealers have quit the program out of frustration! The first time they ran out of money in the first month when it was supposed to last until November.

now you have one of your supporters, Warrewn buffet warning the BO administration that they are going to kill any financial recovery if they dont stop all of this deficit spending---and he endorsed OBAMA!

If the government would get out of the way of insurers, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, HMOs, doctors, medical service providers, etc. The private industry would provide much better, less expensive healthcare. Watch UPS and FedEx really take off when the Postal Service closes its doors.

Really? Then why aren't they?

If you really believe that, then you must not believe there is any need for reform since the private insurance companies are all doing such a great job and their competition is equaling cheap healthcare for all of us.

The "private system" is driving more and more people to the uninsured lines because of astronomical premiums and rationing the care of the people they insure.

What planet are you on?

Wrong information aside, I'm glad to see you at least being concerned about "rationing" healthcare that's going on under greedy insurance companies. You got part of it right Ferd.

No need for verifying, I believe you. You and him have a similar posting style, but I'm pretty certain he's a few universe's to the right of even you.

Mike, GOVERNMENT restrictions prevent competition! Simply remove the laws against healthcare provided across state lines and you will see a lot of prices drop! Competition always is the great equalizer!

You think the government is "hands off" with the healthcare system right now? Open the market! They have their hands in the insurance companies, the hospitals, the doctors, the drug companies, the tort lawyers, the HMOs, the corporate healthcare plans, etc. Remove the restrictions, the regulations, the laws that cause these industries to raise prices to pay for their expensive mandates.

Im on PLANET REALITY---you must be in FANTASY LAND if you think that the governement can do a better job than the private sector. Name one government service that the feds provide besides national security that they do better than the free market. I dare you to find ONE.
