To God be the glory.
Even if you didn't vote for him, we've come a long way as a nation. A 100 years ago there was outcry when a black man merely visited the White House. Now we have a black President. I'm so proud of my country...

I was listening--I didn't hear it played--I heard "Hail to the Chief."
Maybe they played the Superstar song at a different point, but the traditional "Hail To the Chief" was definitely played.

Sorry... should have been more specific. The RADIO STATION played Jesus Christ Superstar this morning saying that it was the "revised" version of Hail To The Chief.

Really, I think he is being idolized far above his ability, but hopefully he will live up to at least some of the expectations.

I allowed my 10yr old son, to go late to school to watch this historic occasion.
It was moving to think about the great country we live in, and though we have our wrongs, America is great because we face up to and correct them.
Congrats to President Obama, he will have my prayers.

For what it's worth.... I am glad we "somewhat" broke the black/white issue... Racism is not gone, nor will it ever be... There will always be racism of some sort... I don't like Obama for what he stands for... but as far as this being a historic event because a black man has won the presidency, I think that is great.... but I don't think he's great.... so I have somewhat torn emotions about this... since I have such torn emotions, I'm going to have to drink another espresso to help me make it through the day... Oh.... the problems in life!

I was dismayed to hear the predominate common thread of every prayer and speech was race. I was hoping this would help us get past all that. This did not seem to be about the next president other than what color he was. And his white half was never mentioned.
