Coke....its the real thing.

The amount of cancer causing chemicals involved in smoking something far overweighs the medical benefits if you ask me.Plus the fact that marijuana opens you up to spirits. For the apostolic person I don't think its a choice.
There are many things out there now to help that don't have to be bodily abusive to rid someone of the side effects of nausea that comes with chemo
or cancer.Just some thoughts.

I don't accept this notion that chemical substances opens people up to spirits. One would hope that there could be a way of taking whatever it is in marijuana that is supposedly beneficial, extract it from the cannabis plant, and make a medicine out of it.

It isn't the act of smoking that produces cancer-causing chemicals. The chemicals are ADDED by cigarette manufacturers and I would challenge you to show me where such chemicals are added to cannabis.

One my my guide posts in dealing with issues is what I like to call the "Tool Box Theory"

It goes something like this:
If I were working on a car, I would want the best tools to get the job done. one could use a socket set or a box in wrench interchangably in many instances.

Does that mean I would only use box end wrenches and never purchase/use the socket set? of course not.

Medical Marijuana is much the same. It is a drug that is proven to help certain people in certain situations. period. There are other drugs available for those situation. But the question is what works best for the patient?

CB1 clearly stated that the artificial THC can help a chemo patient with nausia and lack of appitite. So does Pot. for some the artificial THC works, for others Pot might work better. without drug coverage Pot is clearly less expensive.

Both are tools. why limit the tools avialable to Doctors? that is insane.

I don't think I could use medical marijuana period. Then again, if I were in enough pain, I might could.

Hallucinations are not always seeing purple elephants. Hallucinations can be distortions of reality....like loss of time. I remember when I first smoked pot...and we always had potent stuff btw, I did not think I was being affected. Then my friend looked at me and I started laughing hysterically for no reason. When I had stopped laughing I suddenly realized everyone had left the room. The distortion of how long I was laughing was a hallucination.

The point is your cognizant abilities are not what they should be. That is why I am against drugs like that that affect your mind

Just to clarify here, I am not advocating the use of cannabis. I do, however, believe the government has no constitutional authority to legislate either for or against its use.

If there is another way of obtaining the relief that cannabis supposedly provides without the problems resulting from cannabis intoxication, why shouldn't pharmaceutical companies be allowed to explore them? Hemp makes for an excellent cloth but we're not allowed to produce it in the United States because the government unconstitutionally made it illegal just because some hippies were getting high off the hemp plant. We need to get the government out of the way and let market forces work.

So are most schedule II narcotics.

Edited to say....it's not a hallucinogen. I misread that when I posted.
