Well I wonder how many will leave after the TV Resolution Commitee finds many not only do not want TV, but want to limit Internet too!

I am still trying to figure out the strategy of those on the TV committee who have pledged not to leave the org over it.

I am guessing that AM is going for broke and figures if it doesn't pass this year it will in the next few.

Of course if something weird did happen like the org. decide to ban internet usage I have a feeling that would be the Amishism that would break the camels back.

I think AM is having to weigh his burden for evangelism through TV / Internet with his stature and prestige within the UPC and the influence of BOTT.

At this point I don't see him chucking his stature and infuence through BOTT just to evangelize on TV.

A boycott of BOTT would be huge mistake. AM is not taking a huge chance. The climate is right for prominent people to take a positive stand.

I meant what he has to consider IF the UPC does not pass the TV resolution. Some have speculated he would leave the UPC but I am saying that I think he would give it more years to come around as he does not want to lose the influence he has in hosting the premeire UPC preaching conference.

In other words I believe he puts more value right now in being able to influence the UPC's direction through BOTT more than he values TV as an evangelism tool.

I have heard UPC folks use the terms "video" and "webcast" before in describing what they do but this is the first time I have heard it actually called "television".
Wow 33 years into the debate. They can now call it TV.
