Would it not be below our pay grade then since we are joint heirs with Christ?

Jesus would vote for............................................... ...........................................

..........................................Himself! (I mean when you are the King of Kings, who is left to vote for?)

Isaiah 33:22 - For the LORD [is] our judge, the LORD [is] our lawgiver, the LORD [is] our king; he will save us.

Jesus is our Supreme Court
Jesus is our Congress
Jesus is our President

I VOTE for Jesus!

He could be a false Jesus.

You might also ask him a few simple question likes "Whoosyo daddy".

Also... if he is over 33 years of age that might be a good indicator that he is not the one and you should look for another.

Voting is a civic responsibility, why would He not vote?

He prayed to the Father that His disciples be kept in the world, and not taken out of this world;

He said we are to be salt and light, as in, we are to influence our world. Voting is a way that we can do just that. Why would He encourage us to be that influence unless He Himself would be that influence?

I still see no connection between what you are saying and scripture. The Word says in several places, this world belongs to Satan not us, it also says that God places kings in their kingdoms and God takes them down. Also , voting is not a civic responsibility, it is a privilage and a freedom for those who wish to participate. There is no connection there either, taxes is responsibility because its the law , its not law to vote.

I believe there are times when the affairs of the world are left to mans free will and there are times when God directs things to His will based on His word. Several instances in the OT were kings put in place because of the words of prophets of God. And other times the throne was handed to some due to family lineage. People have not always had the option to vote for the leaders of their choice. And other times people have had that option only to find it in vain.

What if the Roman people could have voted for its leaders and voted someone into office besides Pilate? Would it have changed the crucifixion ? Maybe a leader voted by the people would have released Jesus? Doubtful.

What about Hitler ? If the people would have had a fair election then maybe WWII could have been averted, as well as the holocaust. Doubtful.

History is full of examples where the action of people is deemed irrelevant in order for the plan of God to play out. I believe we are in such a time. Our own philosophy, that is the root of democracy, states the majority rules. After all that is the point in the first place. History has shown that whenever Gods predestined events are to come to pass that in fact those events happen, mysteriously, despite the will of man or his choices. According to post by many of you concerning the obvious, it appears we are in such a time.

One has stated on this thread his disappointment with the Republican party. I not only agree but use this as an example. We voted them into office in mass and they controlled the majority of the government from 2000 to 2004 and yet accomplished nothing of our interest or decision. In fact, it has been much the opposite. Atheist have all but removed God from every aspect of our lives in this country with the exception of home and church yet they are far from being the majority in this country. Gay rights activist have overcome government and laws against lifestyle and are marrying with approval of the state and church. Yet they are the minority.

When the will of the majority is mysteriously muted in a democratic society, its pretty safe to say that something larger than the people is at work. If God told you today that He was going to place Obama/Biden in power, would you go vote for Obama ? Sit out ? Vote against Obama ?

I'm not sure what the will of God is in this matter. Would God frown on me choosing not to vote ? Is that scripture ? Is it possible for Gods will to be not to vote? If it is a time for the ungodly to take power then would God want us to willingly vote for the ungodly candidate? Or are we supposed to vote against the plan of God in order to show ourselves to vote for a seemingly less evil candidate?

In our democracy man has chosen to separate church and state. In light of the above questions that policy may be the smartest choice man has ever made on his own. Either way, because I may choose not to vote in no way removes my right to voice opinion or decisions. After all, just because some may vote don't mean their opinions and decisions are any more relevant than one who doesn't. Are they ?

You may not agree with my opinion and thats cool. But don't try to make it scripture when its not.
