Lol, cute, but you didn't answer my question.

Can a person lose their invested money in the stock market?
You're right. It is just the overwhelming amount of scripture that deals with financial things and takes a dim view of quick gains.

Which precisely why I don't declare it a sin. It IS a sin if your family suffers from someone gambling.
Bingo!! That is what I believe. I have zero guilt about buying a couple of lottery tickets twice a week. I don't have any expensive habits or hobbies like golf, etc and I don't spend money on alcohol, cigarettes, partying, etc.

Therefore if I want to spend $16.00 of my leisure money per month on the lottery I don't see anything wrong with it as long as my family is being fed and I am doing my duty to God and church.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Here is a bit of the Article
"PORT JEFFERSON, N.Y. -- A New York pastor said one of his congregants donated a winning lottery ticket worth $3 million to his church.

Pastor Bertrand Crabbe of the True North Community Church in Port Jefferson said the donor, who asked to remain anonymous, donated the "Ba Da Bling" scratch-off ticket immediately after realizing he won.

Crabb said the donor said, "This was why God put the ticket in his hands.""
