I agree with Sam that it is no surprise Obama is playing the race card. I have posted many times that the idea is to label anyone who doesn't vote for him as racist even though there is every reason on the world not to vote for him based on his political orientation.
A liberal is a liberal whether they are male, femaler, black, white, or brown. It is their policies I oppose not their gender or race.
I hope Americans are not swayed by this race baiting (although I am sure many libs will vote for him not just because he is a lib but because they feel they owe it to him since 150 years ago blacks were slaves and this will assuage their misplaced guilt0.
I don't trust Obama I don't care if he were green...well I would trust him even less than I do now because he would probably be from another planet, but you get my point.
I find it difficult to trust ANY democrat...except for maybe Joe Leiberman who could be selected as Johnny's VP.
Personally, I don't trust ANY politician.

So Obama is "playing the race card"?
Is that a surprise to anyone?
By the way, is he more black than he is white?
How is that divided up percentage wise?
Sam,
You sort of proved his point when you brought up that he was more black that white! Why would you even write "how is that divided up percentage wise"? Even if you were trying to be funny, it came across as something much different. Remember, the man didn't lose his humanity just because he decided to run for president.
He didn't play the race card in that statement, he was stating facts.
I have witnessed a lot of subtle and some not so subtle racism these last several months regarding Obama with many of it coming from fellow "Christians".
Regardless, of your views on Obama, you have been a blessing to me many times when I have read your post (just not this particular post).
God bless you,

CC I guess that's possible....but there are also a lot of white libs and moderates who are voting for him because they feel like he is a great candidate who to many appears to be a departure from politics as usual and specifically our current policies. It is race baiting if anyone is implying that anyone not voting for him must be doing so because he is black. But it is also race baiting to imply that anyone who is voting for him must be doing so because he is black. Many have liked him as a candidate since they first saw him speak at the DNC.

There has been a lot of progress made in regards to civil rights in the US since Dr. Martin Luther King passed from this earth 40 years ago; however, when someone like Senator Obama came along, we were reminded just how much more work was needed before Dr. King's dream becomes a reality!

Me too. But, I've come to expect it from some people. Even people around here.
