Listen, it isn't your job to worry about what Brother Epley believes or says. He's a grown man of God with convictions just like you, me, and everyone else who is a part of the Church. You can stand against the attitude without thinking it's up to you to change the man. That's God job, not ours. There are plenty of sefl-righteous attitudes around here I can't stand, and will stand against them any time I see their ugly head roar up. But to think it's my place to change that person is going beyond what any man is capable of doing. You stand for truth and let God do the changing.
