YES!! And Orange Beach, Destin, Key West.......I love the Gulf sands though......white and like sugar!

I lived near Ft Walton Beach when my exhusband was in the Air Force. The beaches are beautiful but the water is like bath water....too warm. You should try the beaches along the northeast.....your lips turn blue this time of year because the water is so cold, but refreshing! LOL

We've been to Virginia Beach and Gulf Shores (twice).
Loved every minute of it!

The closest I've been to Virginia Beach is crabbing in Chesapeake Bay.

I dipped my feet in the British Channel in the shore town of Portland, England. They have a rocky, pebble beach there. Very odd looking!
