Re: Special Prayer Needed-Victim of Bank Fraud

My account was compromised last year & although the bank dis return the funds, it wasn't without a lot of hassle.

Crooks are quite sophisticated on how it is done nowadays!

Re: Special Prayer Needed-Victim of Bank Fraud

My family has two bank accounts in two different banks. One has a debit card and is the one we use on the internet and gas stations. We only keep a couple of hundred dollars in it. The other one is where most of the money goes. It is a little trouble but worth only risking a small amount of money. It is almost impossible to keep secure in society today.

You should be able to get all your money back. My son had $700 withdrawn from his account. We immediately notified the bank and we had to go thru a lot of hassle but he did get all his money back.

Good luck and God Bless!

I never do on line banking nor do I pay bills on line. I also don't use ATM. Fact is I don't trust computers when it comes to my money(which isn't much).

Sounworthy:

After sipping cammomile tea and drinking celery juice, to calm my jangled nerves this week, I'm thinking of doing the same!!!

Anyway friends, I appreciate all your prayers and comfort. I still don't have this mess resolved. Bad!!!! However, I praise the Lord, through all this!!! I've been reassured that I will get this money returned, but it takes time (7-10 business days).

Re: Special Prayer Needed-Victim of Bank Fraud

I don't mean to say this to cause fear but we do need to be aware that banks can do 'creative manipulations of funds' and can cause seriosu damage to a person's reputation and financial standing.

The economy is very bad now and the banks take advantage of people and they have no controls. They make their money on those who live hand to mouth an charge extra fees for everything and make the rules up as they go along.

We need to be very cautious about our money. Just putting your PIN into a machine at Wal-mart gives Wal-mart access to all your personal information. I am making it a habit to take a certain amount of money out of the back and pay cash for things.

Not sure if you know this, but I was told by a woman who works at The Hilton Garden Inn that if you pay your hotel bill with a debit card they attach a hold of $500.00 and when you are on vacation this could be devastating, not to mention the bank takes the opportunity to charge you for every debit card usage while the hold is on the account.

In the same respect; when you use a debit card at the gas station they can place a $50.00 hold on your account until the debit goes through your account.

The only way banks can offer 'free checking' is to penalize you on some other end. As always, this affects the middle class more than anyone. The rich always have extra funds and credit lines, and the poor just don't have accounts.

Just be aware.

Blessings, Rhoni
