Since no one will go to hell for their sin nature and are judged according to their works, YES I believe sin commission is what sends people to hell. The Bible lists works of the flesh in galatians. These are a result of their sin nature but their sin nature doesn't hate, steal, lie, commit adultery, witchcraft; they are sins committed by us BECAUSE of our sin nature.
I agree, the sin nature is still in us even after being saved, so we are not going to hell simply because it is present.

Sounds like spiritual resurrection to me!

We will not miss hell due to our works. We will miss it due to HIS WORKS with the cross. Our sins already went ahead due to the cross, and were found as HIS WORKS in the work of the cross. Others sins follow them and will take them down.

...one angle of the following:

1 Timothy 5:24 KJV Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.

Re: Was Jesus born again?

Here is a thought I had regarding folks judged by their works at the white throne.
Rom 7:1 KJV Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Paul said that Law has dominion over a man so long as he lives. He then notes that DEATH releases us from bondage to law. But what good is that if we are dead? One One goes to judgment and is judged by their works since Law held sway over them and law is of works. This means they will be shown why they are lost.

Look at Israel's track record to prove those under law cannot be rightoues.
Rom 3:10-18 KJV As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (11) There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. (12) They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. (13) Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: (14) Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: (15) Their feet are swift to shed blood: (16) Destruction and misery are in their ways: (17) And the way of peace have they not known: (18) There is no fear of God before their eyes.
Those words were spoken to Israel who was under LAW. And verse 19 says Israel was described as being unrighteous. So this shows no one under law can be saved. And if law has dominion over a man as long as he is alive, then upon death law judges him at the white throne. This is why I think THE BOOKS are the BOOKS OF LAW at the white throne.

However, Paul stated that faith in Christ causes us to have DIED IN CHRIST to law.
Rom 7:4 KJV Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
We did indeed die in order to be loosed from law so that we are no longer under law. This means we are not judged by our works regarding heaven or hell.

We are delivered from law. 7:6.

Paul used marriage as an illustration of being bound to law. So long as one's spouse is alive, they are not to be loosed. This is not teaching divorce and remarriage as those who cannot follow context here think it is all about. It is using marriage as AN ILLUSTRATION. Just as a woman is LOOSED from her husband by DEATH, we DIED TO LAW and were loosed from law. Normally the situation is that the husband dies so the wife is free to remarry. But in this case we, the spiritual WIFE so to speak, DIE so we are loosed from Law. Law was not going to to die. WE had to die. AND WE DIED through Christ.

Anyway, saints are not judged by their works to determine heaven.

Wow. You actually believe in salvation by works? If not, then that is what I was saying... salvation is not by works. that does not mean evil works will not cause a saved soul to be lost. But works do NOT get us into heaven. Salvation by works is absolute heresy!

Yes the saved will not be judged eternally by their evil works because their sins will be forgiven. However his work in His causes us to work the good works. So its not us that does them but the Spirit within us. Lets be in that crowd!

Amen. What do you think of Luke2447's legalism?

I edited my post. Please reread it. I'm sure that is what Luke is talking about. The new birth change will always produce good fruit and action will always follow. If we refuse to walk in that and ignore the leading of the Spirit, we can still be lost; which is what you believe also.
