Do you know that your fathers in the Gospel, back to Azusa wore jewelry? Do you have a scriptural prohibition to support your position on Jewelry? Do you believe jewlery was a unique fashion item only to prostitutes? Was also red garments and fragrances? Did you get your doctrine against jewelry from the text, or did you already believe in hook, line and sinker and then do a keyword study to find anything you could about jewelry - and although it's just a prop in a story to describe a sensual woman, read-into the text to mean that therefore all make-up is wrong (nevermind that other things Jezebel was noted to wear here). Is there a way to wear make-up like a hooker and sensually and another way modestly?

Welcome to the forum. Take a stab at some of these questions.

Blume?? Whose Blume?? I'll tell you who Jesus is!! I dont' care who Blume is. No, we don't use those words on the walls like the charismatics do and we have a choir just like the book of revelation does. I don't see no praise team in the book or REvelation. Maybe people at Azuza wore jezebel jewelry but nobody in the upper room wore it brother!

And don't call me "friend" when you call me a "compromiser" and someone that isn't "serious about God" in the same breath, all the while you know nothing of me. We like to talk about ideas, doctrines, beliefs, not people so much. You'll survive longer with that little tip.

An yet they still insist they are Apostolic.

This is forum and many opinions are here...It is different than Goodnews, Just Preachers or that other one my son writes on I cannot think of the name of it at this moment... this forum is open for a lt more people and it is not just for preachers...
Brother Cox, NOT everyone on this forum agrees on many things but we are friends...I know people that could be considered stricter than us, others would be considered looser...we talk, we pray for each other and we even explain why we believe what we do...I did that the other day on one of the threads when someone asked me a question.

There are very few preachers that write here so many things are from the hearts and eyes of people that are not directly involved in leadership.

May Jesus bless you and yours...

HAHA! Stop, you're making my side cramp up!

Blume, was the man you called a "compromiser" and proceeded to degrade (love of Jesus is so sweet isn't it)! I thought you might want to at least know his name.

So your choir and the choir in Revelation are the same, are they? Do you have evidence that shows those in the Upper Room refrained from wearing jewlery? I have a couple books about the Life and Times of Jesus that show it was quite common -- and that men wore it too. So much for that little tidbit, huh! And if they did/did not wear it, was it a cultural consideration, or a scriptural prohibition?
