I explained it to you, and you didn't hear it.

Jesus is the WORD. And the WORDS OF JESUS are recorded for us in written form. Hence that is why Word/Bible/Jesus can be interchangeably used.

The words of Jesus - (because Jesus is God... that verse says so) - are the Bible that we have and read now = Word.

Not a difficult concept to grasp, only if you refuse to believe it is just that simple.

Re: What is the GOSPEL?

So then you have no problem, in that case, with

Quote:
"In the beginning was the Bible, and the Bible was with God, and the Bible was God."
So then what is the problem, again? You explained something to me, and i complained that your explanation was a non-answer, for some reason, do you understand why? It isn't a difficult concept to grasp, only if you refuse to believe it is just that simple, too, K.

I believed that quote there for 40 years, K; you don't see me using some other Book all of the sudden, now, do you. So yes, i believe that you believe that quote, and i believe i understand why. You might go and understand why i complained--even though it is a small thing--because it is a big thing, that will speak to points of view here, that we may not speak at cross purposes.

Because you are trying to help me, K, and i am not trying to help you, just so you know. I think you are great, just like you are, ok. I did not come and seek you out to tell you anything, and i have no requirements for you, because i like you just the way you are. But you came to me, to help me. Didn't you.

So what i am saying is that yes, you explained to me, but it is perhaps you who did not hear it. You might even sanitize the exchange, and present it to a trusted friend, if you have to; if you seek to. But it has to be sanitized, so the friend does not have a bias. Don't go making a biased poll, like people do, to stroke their own povs, ok.

Now let me ask you a question, not that i expect an answer here, ok; when was the last time someone asked you right out like that how to be saved? And since you prolly do get that question now and then, since i'm sure you proselytize, like most Christians, who should be committed, do, did you notice where they were asking from? Where their heart was coming from, iow, what they were really asking? Was it "How do i avoid the fires of hell, too, K, like you apparently are?" Was that what they were really asking, KeptByTheWord? Or did you notice? Ty
One might reflect upon what exactly i meant by the phrase, "who should be committed" up there; what did i mean? Do you read that like most Christians, or like i meant "since i'm sure you proselytize?" And that last sentence, right there; did i just say that i meant that Christians who proselytize should be committed, or did i only just ask you of you thought that that was what i meant? And that lst sentence, right there; what do i mean, when i say "committed?"

So see how there is a way to breathe, that might be misunderstood; and way to write words, that may be read how the heart desires, which reveals.

Your words do not match your actions. You are here with an agenda, trying to persuade anyone who will listen to understand your way of seeing things, are you not?

Re: What is the GOSPEL?

Jesus is the Word made flesh. And the words of Jesus written in ink by men moved on by the Spirit of Jesus are the words that we have to know Him by. I didn't write those words, John did.

And if you have a problem with the fact that Jesus is the Word, then there is nothing I can say for you to see otherwise, and since you are not here to learn, but to teach (or something like that)... then I think this conversation is at a standstill.

Hebrews 1:1-3
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

do you need directions for where the "ignore" button is, or how to scroll by? i did not say "hey K, come here, please." I did not quote you first, to get your attention. I merely breathed into the air, K. It takes a hearer to be persuaded. I seek to persuade no one, who does not have ears.

And, in some post i have lost for the moment, i see that my reflection of who 666 might be is, is all Greek to you? Do you not know what a 501 c3 is? Or the number of man is? What?

Re: What is the GOSPEL?

Ah, no; i said Jesus is being worshipped like Nehushtan, and notice that i did not even tell anyone not to! And if i did, i take it back! After all, who am i to tell people what to do, when i do not know? Worship that risen Jesus, risen like a snake on a pole, as long as you see fit! I must manifest what i say, and i must reap what i sow.

i must say how nice it is to be talking with a man here, though...

And I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever you shall bind upon (your) land shall be bound in (your) heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose upon (your) land shall be loosed in (your) heaven.
