He walked into his home and his wife was strangely quiet and tears were
dripping down her face. His oldest son was laying on the bed barely
breathing looked up and him and said, "Dad, you were too late to save
me".
The man dropped to his knees to beg God for mercy but mercy never came.
The next night the man was back at the Inn and his family was at home but
the oldest boy's bed was empty.
Fathers don’t be too late... Make right Decisions now....
What Television can provide for you today may cost you dearly
tomorrow...
Yep, God killed that boy because daddy was watching tv.
But this is silly and a perfect exhibition of all the reasons why we are so often labelled a cult. Just because Randy feels warned that he has been a neglectful father due to tv doesn't mean the rest of fathers who own televisions are. Why take a personal conviction and spew it as a biblical absolute?
The story was a work of FICTION that took great liberties with the concept of passover. That Coonskinner and others could call that a word from the Lord is regrettable and very telling. That God would kill a kid because his father was too busy watching tv is ridiculous.
Name calling is in vogue today. Idiots? Asses? Sounds like we have corrupt communication spewing from the keyboards of some of our great holiness preachers.
There is no limit to the absolute additions to the Word some men will force feed everyone who disagrees with their sacred cows. There is no way to scream it loud enough.
Danger! Danger! Danger!
An extrabiblical word is coming to a thread near you.
Pastor Poster.. with all due respect..
I could really care less who loves me and who doesn't... But I am glad you do...
Just wondering if anybody called RevRandy and idiot or carnal for writing the piece or called anybody that for agreeing with him? I wonder why it happens in the other direction?

That is the truth, and if you insist otherwise, especially after I have clarified, you are calling me a liar.
That will then elevate the discussion to new dimensions.
Where I was raised, the word was used colloquially as I have stated.
You can accept that or not, as it really doesn't matter to me.
But I do not flirt with or use profanity. Period.
Okay. I guess I'll have to take your word for it, though I have doubts. I'm not a mind-reader and don't know what you were really thinking.

This is the third time ive said this. I have a TV. I think the uPCI needs to drop any referenece of TV from its bylaws. I also think res 6 needs to pass.
I also read this and got a good message for my own life. we can do both.

You know, CS can hold his own, but you're smarter than that.
He would no more flirt with cursing than he could quit coon hunting or preaching holiness.
BTW, where I come from the "devil's funbox" has been called devilvision and hellevision.
Apt monikers, I do believe.

IE, it was deliberate, intentional and flirted with calling someone an ___ (you know).
I don't have a problem with what he said. I'll know better though reading his future posts. He preaches holiness and condemns television but flirts with cursing. Nice.
I understand why you think this way, but knowing him from posts that go a long way back, I stand by my words.
He is a better man than to preach one thing and do another. I also have the witness of those who have labored with him.

I wonder if the writer has made a commitment to never watch tv again?
If you care for him at all, you should remove that tv immediately.
I think i will just take RevRandy's advice and not let the TV get in the way of taking care of important things. much easier plus the Mavs and Stars are playing this weekend.
