Re: MODERN FAMILY ad in email

The church stays silent too much, trying to "Love" everyone without appearing judgmental. Meanwhile, every perversion continues to march and steamroll over everything in society we used to hold sacred, everythign that used to be a pillar of a society that used to be far more moral and upstanding.

Yet we wonder why things have gotten so terrible. Gee...maybe if the church (not just AP's) would have started marching and fighting instead of silently trying to coddle sin and be lovy-dovy things might be different. When Roe V Wade was happening, maybe if millions of Christians marched int he streets and fought with all the power they could muster perhaps some 40 million unborn wouldn;t have been slaughtered in the past 40 years.

When gays started "coming out of the closet" maybe if we would have been more active in fighting against their mainstream acceptance instead of just hiding in our sanctuaries we wouldn't have the full blown perversion in every facet of America like we do.

I agree that the church shouldn't necessarily be a political body. However, we do have a responsibility to stand for what is right and what is godly. As long as we are in this world, we ought to strive to make it better. Not hide while it gets worse because we want to love everyone and not be judgmental.

Tens of thousands, sometimes hundreds of thousands, of the Catholics show up in DC every year to protest Roe v. Wade. They pack out the Verizon Center for a morning mass, while thousands more stand outside. But I have yet to see any organized effort on the part of Apostolics at the march for life.

One of the highlights for me last year was a Catholic school from Memphis that brought their high school class tot he march and they were chanting back and forth "Yo Mamma" and the response would ring back "Chose life."

Excellent post! And this sums up to me (and I'm sure many others), exactly why things are the way they are right now.

Paul implies that a marital relation that was acceptable is being abandoned. Women changed the natural use of relations to that which was against the order, and men left the use of their wives, burning in lust one for another. These abandoned their spouses and families for licentious homosexual pleasures.
Hi,

It's always seemed to me that Paul implied homosexuality is "unnatural use". "Vile affection". These a re not labels just because people abandoned normal relationships, as though people who have not abandoned normal relationships would not be considered involved in vile affection and unnatural use if they are homosexual. That which is unseemly is not abandonment of normal relations, but rather the plain act of homosexuality with or without previous involvement in natural relations.

Furthermore, abandonment does not necessarily mean they were already involved in marital situations of man and wife, but rather abandoning the CONCEPT of man and wife relationships without ever having necessarily been involved personally.

Are we still debating on this forum if homosexuality is expressly condemned in scripture or not?

I do not want to sound condescending, but I am wondering the same thing.

How about unisex clothing... pants on women, dresses on men ? I will agree with Bro. Stoneking that churches that start these things do NOT become more spiritual.
I'm Ind. but I NEVER thought Larry Smith would allow these things.

Just popped in and read the last page of this thread. I have not read anymore posts except for those on the last page.

NO. That will not be debated here.

There was an admin statement made the last time it happened, and the whole thread was deleted I think.

Let's not have to go through that again, please.

If those posts start to appear again, someone PLEASE report the posts when they first start, and don't wait on an admin to pop in and find it.
