Everybody needs a home-church and needs to be faithful in their attendance.
Why?

I think so, but many don't unless their the whole nine yard thing going.

I live less then a block from the Amish and Mennonites, there are 59 family's in all, and the other 35 of us are a mix of faiths living in among them, on Sunday you can hear Amish’s sing and worship , boy can they sing without the use of drums so on.

And there are so many truths in the Word that regard our stabilizing in Christ that all our lives we need church.

Michlow~

I don’t see we are ever to stop asking, even right up to the end. If this is all God wants from us is to obey some man made traditions of by-laws, well that’s just lame! Or God just very shallow, and I don’t believe that for one moment.

Michlow what your doing is fighting to many, especially to those in position of power, to step outside the box and demand an answers from the “don’t touch or questing the anointed ones”, lol that's playing with fire.

As you have found your tag as a backslider or rebellious, it’s the devil! Some really do have a hard time grasping the fact it could just be God telling you whatt you should’ve done in the first place, “SEEK ME OUT”! Instead most of us get caught up in the webs of obey man over God. I think God leading you to better understanding and a closer walk with Him, outside the box.

Yes they, the powers to be don’t like this, after all what does this message send to the rest of their members, when they see that God does move outside their box and still keeps using you! Have a GoodDay~

Amen , I agree. And No church is perfect but God has ordained the church for believers. We don't need dictators , but we need loving leadership to nurture us in The Lord.We need folks to hold us accountable and no man is a island unto him or her self.

Right. Unless we have church which preaches the ever required message of denial of self and seeking God, our flesh will fall to the lusts and self-exaltation of the world. The bible says to not forsake assembling because we need edifcation from one another. That is a far cry from a one-man show that exists in many places, but it is the answer for the question.

Maybe you can start a work there and show them more truth?

Church meeting

Act 12:12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

Act 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
Act 20:8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.

The church gathered together and prayed, they met every first day of the week

1Co 16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
1Co 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

They also took up collections for others....being a church and assembling together is NOT just about YOU. Thus the selfish will seek to only be in church as much as they think they need or can stand.

The church meeting is about being refreshed, encouraged, emboldened and empowered to speak the word of God. It's about healings, signs and wonders which only happen by faith and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God and prayer. If you don't care about others being healed or saved then there is something wrong with your salvation

Act 4:28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
Act 4:29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
Act 4:30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
Act 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

1Co 14:26 What should you do then, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each one has a song, has a lesson, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all these things be done for the strengthening of the church.

The church is about being of one heart and mind, in unity not in disunity everyone doing their own thing.

Act 4:32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Those that forsake assembling are in violation of the word and the purpose of assemble is to exhort one another. If you are selfish you will avoid doing that intentionally and make excuses and argue about it in my opinion.

BTW The church was active daily in church duties as well TOGETHER as a church.

Act 6:1 Now in those days, when the disciples were growing in number, a complaint arose on the part of the Greek-speaking Jews against the native Hebraic Jews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food.

Act 2:42 They were devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Act 2:43 Reverential awe came over everyone, and many wonders and miraculous signs came about by the apostles.
Act 2:44 All who believed were together and held everything in common,
Act 2:45 and they began selling their property and possessions and distributing the proceeds to everyone, as anyone had need.
Act 2:46 Every day they continued to gather together by common consent in the temple courts, breaking bread from house to house, sharing their food with glad and humble hearts,
Act 2:47 praising God and having the good will of all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number every day those who were being saved.

How far we are from the original biblical model....and some are further away than others
