I wondered what the definition of "closed minded" has become on this thread...

I think repetitive questioning is silly and fruitless. At some point you've gotta move on. That's why I rarely debate doctrine on here.

What is so great and virtuous about that?
Depends on whether the beliefs you cling to are actually correct!

But seriously, there's nothing wrong with being receptive. Of course, that could start another definitional argument, but to me, it just means honestly listening to others' arguments and ideas.

yes, but he's been asked to rejoin and is seriously considering it.

Our mind is the seat of God's presence in us. We should be open to all he wants for us. His word is the filter of our mind. If an idea is foreign to His word there is no use debating it. Doing so only brings confusion, doubt, unbelief.

It is the TOLERATION of such junk that God hates.

See Rev 1-3, Philippians 4:8, Galations 5:21-22

A number of reasons.

He has remained close with a few of the ministers in this district. One is like a pastor to him. He went to Gateway with one.

In our state there aren't many apostolic churches and fellowship is scarce outside of the UPC. My pastor has not left the message of Oneness nor of the New Birth in Acts 2:38 . He feels closer to the UPC in doctrine, the important doctrines.

He went to campmeeting this summer just to hear those of like faith preach and to be uplifted and was graciously invited on the platform and given the right hand of fellowship.

Maine is not California.
