Throw rock wasn't as funny as you roof surfing your mom's house in Florida with a martini (dirty, not stirred, one blue-cheese stuffed olive ). That was funny. Now, you need to get yourself together my boy, stop with all the mumbo jumbo. All Catholics, Muslims, Mormons, and sincere Hillary supporters are going to be lost. Warn them, go warn them. If you aren't going to warn them then go find a Muslim forum and tell them how much you love them and how you believe they are already saved.

Hmm, myself, i thought throwrock was quite to the point, EB. I was laughing, anyway, myself, at that one. I kind of fell asleep there, turned off, you know, like men do when women start up, in certain situations (no offense, ladies), so i missed what it is i'm supposed to be warning them about? You kind of started a thought there, but then you didn't finish it, or maybe i am just not hip enough, and i missed what it is i am supposed to warn them about, sorry.
If i told you that you were hopelessly lost in your sins, and are going to fry in hell for eternity if you do not change your mind, and do what i tell you, EB, would i be warning you, sufficiently? Is that what you mean?

Shaz.
Sit still and think about this question and answer it in the best possible sentence form you can.
You meet someone who asks you how to be saved. What do you tell them?

Well K, see that that is not a fair question, because EB did not ask me how to be saved now, did he? But i will answer you anyway; i would tell them to go find some hippies, and get the Word, K. With the caveat that if that did not work for them, i had some OP brothers that might could help them out, if the hippies were not for them.
Now let me ask you a question, not that i expect an answer here, ok; when was the last time someone asked you right out like that how to be saved? And since you prolly do get that question now and then, since i'm sure you proselytize, like most Christians, who should be committed, do, did you notice where they were asking from? Where their heart was coming from, iow, what they were really asking? Was it "How do i avoid the fires of hell, too, K, like you apparently are?" Was that what they were really asking, KeptByTheWord? Or did you notice? Ty

See his answer? It's Babylon personified. Not really the answer Peter gave when he was asked, is it?

Why is it not a fair question, being that this thread is about the gospel?
So, you don't believe the gospel as the apostles preached it? That speaks volumes to me.
I'm not afraid to look at someone and tell them what the apostles told people they needed to do to be saved. In fact, just a couple of nights ago at our house meeting, our group had a conversation with one who had never been baptized, and I shared with him Mark 16:15-18, Acts 2:38, and encouraged him to read for himself the book of Acts and to search out the name that the apostles baptized in. He is currently engaged in wanting to know more about Jesus, and the power of the Holy Ghost. His life is about to be transformed, very soon!
And it is not just because of "hell fire" as you put it, that I do that. It is because this is life more ABUNDANTLY, this is KINGDOM LIVING now! It is about joy, peace and faith, and overcoming victory in this earth.
And you, Shaz, should be seeking the same thing! Is the POWER of Jesus working in your life? Are you living life more abundantly, with overcoming power?
You see... hell is only there really for Satan and his cronies, because for the believer, we have no more fear of death, hell and the grave, because of our faith in Jesus. I don't live in fear of hellfire, I live in faith, victory, and overcoming power in the blood of Jesus, and the LIFE that He bought for me at Calvary.
I pray for you Shaz. It seems you are seeking out the philosophy of man in trying to understand God, and that will always bring you up short and sad, and always seeking... and in doing that, according to the answer you gave me above... you have turned away from what the Lord is able to do in you and through you through His SPIRIT because of faith in Him.

in that context, it is a fair question. In the other, intimated by my question to...whomever, it was not.

I did not say that; i said that you do not have the Gospel as given by all 12 Apostles, first off, and also you do not have a definition of Gospel in the Book, without going to Lex. You do, in fact, have a sort of definition, actually a great definition, "Good News," which is misunderstood, and taken to mean something other than what is meant, as becomes obvious when you try to define this "Good News," exactly like trying to define "Word" as "Book," a casual reader loses their way.

You have a good heart, and you are doing what you think is best, KeptByTheWord, and i have no condemnation for this.

K, if you can tell me what is wrong with this next sentence, from your pov, i will return to OP and begin "repenting" again, ok?
In the beginning was the Bible,
and the Bible was with God,
and the Bible was God.
ty, and may you be blessed.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the WORD was made flesh and dwelt among us...
The Word is JESUS. And the words in written form, penned by men, are the words of Jesus.

Then why is it that it is no problem to equate Word with Bible everywhere else, KeptByTheWord? Are you going to stop really answering questions, too? See that i am just asking, i am not condemning you. There are many worse things than having Bible as god imo.
