Better decide to like him, he is going to win the nomination. I will vote for the nominee, because I don't want Obama. Any conservative that does not vote for the nominee will just be shooting themselves in the foot. I will not try to convince you of Romney's strengths, why would I with what you posted here. But you need to get over yourself and commit to vote for the nominee. LOL

Man, I like Ron Paul. That is a great ad. I wish people gave him more of a chance. Unfortunately, I think his age and unwillingness to walk lock step with the GOP have hurt his campaign. I would love to see a debate between Ron Paul and President Obama. Paul would wipe the smirk off the Presidents face and send him back to Chicago for a permanent vacation.

I will vote for Ron Paul if he is the nominee. But I like most everyone else don't feel he can appeal to enough of Republicans to be nominated. If he were nominated, he would be demonized as a kook, the leftist media would have a field day. If he won the Presidency, and the congress, how much would he be able to get done? It would be interesting, the clash of the culture!!! We definitely need a shake up of the status quo.

Your right about the leftists, they aren't gonna vote for any GOP, no matter how stupid there candidate happens to be.

I like Romney and believe he would be a very good president. So what if he is rich, and speaks from that perspective, he didn't get rich by wasting resources. And his Mormon roots are conservative socially, we are not electing a spiritual leader but a secular political leader.

Mitt Romney is the kind of candidate that the Republican establishment has always looked for, a moderate who can appeal to independents. It doesn't matter how many such candidates have turned out to be disasters on election night, going all the way back to Thomas E. Dewey in 1948.


Newt Gingrich is the only candidate still in the field who can clearly take on Barack Obama in one-on-one debate and cut through the Obama rhetoric and mystique with hard facts and plain logic.

Nor is this just a matter of having a gift of gab. Gingrich has a far deeper grasp of both the policies and the politics than the other Republican candidates.

Romney will be just like John Boehner on the debt ceiling debate - talking tough and capitulating to the Establishment. Useless to the true core and sense of purpose in guiding people toward the right goal. His only goal is to follow people and to score quick political victories. He is not a leader, he is a follower.

It was a great ad. I don't know why people would want to trust Mitt Romney on the the healthcare issue when his plan was the blueprint for Obamacare. Just amazes me because, he still believes in Romneycare, defends it and then says he will repeal Obamacare. Somehow that is not working for me.

I heard Matt Damon, et al, speak of their disappointment on how he has handled the economy. They didn't say anything about him not moving further to the left.

Newt can be very good in debates, he also has been very bad, and the fact that he has so faded is very disturbing to me.

Boehners job is very difficult, if he goes too much to the right the Demos demonize the GOP House as radical, and the media pounds and pounds that theme. You know the drill: "...racists, homophobic, etc, etc...!!! So, don't beat up John too bad.

I believe Romney knows that this country is in serious financial trouble, and he knows the president better get busy, or we go as Greece? The Occupy movement will be a walk in the park compared to the riots that will fill the streets. I don't think he will be that weak, whoever the president is, he is going to have a tough job and he better be up to it.

Social programs, welfare, defense (yes even defense) and everythign else needs to be cut. If you don't liek that...tough. We all did this ourselves. We have lived above our means for too long. We have created one giant poo sandwich and now it's time for everyone to take a bite. Suck it up. Deal with it. Endure a few years of pain and having less and we will come out the other side as a country in a balanced financial position.

No one has the guts to say this b/c they are more interested in keeping their elected position of royalty than they are with actually fixing anything.

Newt has been very plain and I also like what he had to say to the Afghans -
"You know, you’re going to have to figure out how to live your own miserable life. ... Because you clearly don't want to learn from me how to be unmiserable."



Anyway, yes, I know that Mitt is the chosen one, but I think Newt would do a great job not only debating against the President, but running this country. All of the candidates learn toward a bigger government, (except for Paul who won't win) but at least Newt has a record of written conservative policy.
