LOL! They are telling us now to NOT call 911 if the electricity goes out later tonight.

Pressing do you still have electricity???
Sorry, I keep getting off the computer taking care of other things and talking on the phone.

My BIL, in Houston, is on the left side of this also and is staying. I told him he's welcome here. Our dogs will have fun playing together and making his brother angry.

I asked him why Roscoe barks at his brother. Since he is also wagging his tail he is telling me that Roscoe is talking to him and wanting him to pet him. Then he said, "You know that isn't going to happen." lol

The lights were flickering earlier. That doesn't necessarily mean it has to do with the weather here. So, yes we do have electricity.

Re: Hike away from Ike?

I didn't know this until today. It only takes 35 mph winds to knock out our electricity in this area. We will, of course, be experiencing that and more. Rain is supposed to come in in less than two hours.

It the electricity stays off tomorrow, we will go to Austin.

They are giving us instructions to huddle in the center of our homes when the wind arrives. My dog will feel very special. My husband won't.

As long as she still able to flip the lights on, she'll be ok-

I'm just praying she will still have the lights to turn on after this storm is over-it doesn't sound pretty to me!

You want to talk about pretty? My dog was so excited that I came outside, just a little bit ago, that he starting running and jumping. He scratched my face, again, from lip to chin line. I now look like a pirate. Oh, vanity!!!!
