Immigration - Stew, you and I both know it's a hard deal to work with. My father was a rancher and a farmer and I know the importance of illegal immigration. He used to hide them under his irrigation pipes when "La Migra" drove by. lol
It's all about help and money. I don't even have that answer. All I want is for them to be tracked and taken out if they are criminals. Even that is a "greasy palmed" issue.
I'm just using that as yet another example of where a serious issue that has real life ramifications and incaculable future repercussions is reduced to rhetoric and stances while the situation deteriorates. The only way things get done in these issues (especially if big business is benefitting), is for the American people to demand it when deciding who they will put into office at every level of government. Every election cycle that passes where we allow people to pay lip-service to the issues important to us places us in a position where the shifting realities make the situation even more irreversable.

Yea, you thought the women here would nail you, huh?
Actually, I know that there are already some who see me as a flaming liberal Democrat since I don't preach from the Republican talking points.
I figure I better choose my battles more judiciously.

McCain was not my first choice, and I'll admit that I was less than enthusiastic when he won the GOP candidacy.
When he chose Gov. Palin as his running mate, I thought he hit a home run. I am now energized about the GOP ticket!
Why? Even though McCain is a moderate instead of a conservative, he showed wisdom by picking a conservative as a running mate. This gives me hope that a moderate/conservative judge will be picked for the Supreme Court if someone dies or retires from the bench.
If Obama wins, we will definitely have a new liberal judge on the Supreme Court. This election is about family values. My values are quite different from the radical left-wingers!

I haven't viewed you in that light, but it is wise to step lightly with women. I see you are already privy to that.
